MSP-C is pleased to announce its Vice President of Content, Jayne Haugen Olson, was named as one of Folio’s Top Women in Media for 2017. The annual list is comprised of the most influential women in media—those driving the agenda for the industry and in their companies.
“Jayne is a hands-on executive, immersing herself in every aspect of content creation and working closely with our category editorial directors, data and analytics teams, content team leaders and executive editors,” said Gary Johnson, President of MSP Communications. “She's a unique and extraordinary talent, a remarkable combination of journalistic purpose, editorial taste, creative packaging and marketing savvy.”
Jayne’s approach to content creation, packaging and presentation comes from her combined 25 years of experience in journalism, retail and marketing. Her multi-channel approach and key understanding of voice and tone—both verbally and visually—influences the way she guides her teams to capture the attention of today’s busy consumers. As a content strategist, Jayne oversees the work of more than 70 creatives developing work for proprietary and custom publications, as well as digital, social and video platforms, and editorial-driven special events for clients.
In 2015, Jayne was named the Content Director of the Year by the Custom Content Council. The content teams at MSP-C have received Emmys, Pearl Awards and Page One awards, as well as accolades from the Society of Professional Journalists, the National Association of Travel Journalists, Folio, City and Regional Magazine Association (CRMA), Minnesota Magazine Publishing Association (MMPA) and more.
