A consummate curator and digester of digital and content industry trends, Gary has been at the helm of MSP Communications since 1978, overseeing the creation and execution of more than 225 print and digital titles and platforms, including startup and concept reinventions for magazines and digital brands in consumer and B2B industries, Fortune 100s, organizations, single events and associations.
He directed MSP’s early entry into digital in 1994, forging a partnership with the first television-centric website in the world, Channel 4000 (CBS). In 1995, he opened MSP’s first digital agency, MSP Interactive, which fostered MSP’s current digital agency, MSP-C, creating content for the world’s largest and most widely recognized brands: UnitedHealthcare, Delta Air Lines, Apollo Education Group, 3M, American Express, NetApp, IBM, McKesson and more.
Gary was honored twice with lifetime achievement awards in 2016: The Milton Jones Award
from the City and Regional Magazine Association and the John Caldwell Award
from The Content Council. In addition to being president of MSP, he serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota, teaching a graduate course in content strategy and brand journalism for the School of Journalism.
